Russia Ratifies Hague Agreement on Industrial Designs

On November 30, 2017, Russia ratified the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement on International Registration of Industrial Designs by depositing its instrument of ratification with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The Geneva Act will enter into force in Russia on February 28, 2018.

The Hague Agreement, administered by WIPO, regulates the international registration of industrial designs. Accession allows interested parties to obtain design protection with a single application in all the countries that are members of the Geneva Act, that now counts a total of 53 contracting parties.
