Diversity & Inclusion
With 130+ people in 16 countries across Eastern and Central EU, Western Balkans and the CIS region, we exhibit high diversity in terms of our cultural and educational backgrounds, languages and nationalities. Women make up the majority of our workforce, which is also diverse in terms of age.
We encourage workplace diversity and regard it as one of our main strengths. Diverse minds and perspectives usually inspire creativity and drive innovation. We are proud of our dynamic working environment that brings in different talents together, all of them working towards common goals using various skills and experience.
In late 2021, we asked our employees to participate in a diversity monitoring survey, the results of which are displayed below.
One team, many perspectives.
Our people are located in EU jurisdictions, non-EU Balkan countries, and countries of the CIS region. Apart from our team members located across 16 countries where we have offices, we also have colleagues who live and work remotely from the USA and Poland.
In total we have over 20 different nationalities and citizenships. Our employees speak over 30 different languages, out of which 18 languages are their native ones.
Working across cultures is an enriching experience which allows us to embrace multiple perspectives and traditions from around the world. The blend of Western well-established practices and best local practices and know-how is also our formula for success in terms of our work. A variety of viewpoints along with the wide-ranging personal and professional experience of our people makes us one team with many perspectives.
Gender & Equality.
We are committed to gender equality both in our hiring practices and at all operational levels. Women make up more than 70% of our workforce and over half of all leadership roles at our firm are held by women.
We believe that we have equal gender pay across all offices – women earn the same as men for work of equal value. Both our men and women are well represented in various trade publications, organizations and IP committees, and we continue to support them on their professional path.
Equal opportunity for all.
Our employee selection is based primarily on a person’s ability to perform the work. We provide all our people with the necessary training, equal opportunities and environment that empowers them and helps them to grow.
Over the last three decades we created many jobs and helped young people develop their careers in IP in some of the poorest regions of Europe, thus helping reduce youth unemployment, which is significantly high in this part of the world. We are primarily a young firm, with almost 80% of people under the age of 44, but all age groups are represented.
As an equal opportunity employer, we are also open and respectful of people of all cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds.
White includes Albanian, Austrian, Belarusian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, French, Greek, Hungarian, Macedonian, Montenegrin, New Zealander, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Ukrainian, and any other white background.
Asian includes Kazakh, Korean, Tatar, Uzbek, and any other Asian background.
Mixed/multiple ethnic groups include White and Asian, Bosnian and Iranian, Russian and Tatar, Russian and Ukrainian, Finnish and Tatar, and any other mixed/multiple ethnic groups.

PETOŠEVIĆ also offers generous parental leave policies in accordance with local regulations. All national and public holidays and various local customs are acknowledged.
