Hungarian Officials Seize Counterfeit Electronic Devices with Unlicensed Software

The Hungarian National Tax and Customs Administration (NTCA) officials recently seized laptops with unlicensed software and automobile diagnostic equipment believed to be counterfeit in three car repair shops located in the country’s Central Transdanubia region.

The goods were seized during an inspection conducted by NTCA officials and Automotive Distributors’ Intellectual Property Protection Association staff members.

The damages for the IP rights infringement are estimated at approximately EUR 30,000 (USD 34,000).
