Albania, Georgia Join TMclass
On May 30, 2016, the Albanian General Directorate of Patents and Trademarks (GDPT) and the Georgian National Intellectual Property Center (SAKPATENTI) joined TMclass, a joint project between EUIPO and the PTOs of member states.
The goal is to provide a common online classification tool where national offices can publish their official lists of goods and services, which allows trademark applicants to search for and translate classification terms and compare the classification databases of all participating offices.
These latest additions bring a total of 62 national and regional offices into the tool, whose users can translate the terms to and from any of the 42 available languages.
