Romanian Customs Seize EUR 380,000 Worth of Counterfeits

In the period February 23 – March 2, 2016, Romanian customs officials seized various products believed to be counterfeit, the total value of which is estimated at approximately EUR 380,000 (USD 425,000).

The seized products included power tool parts, headphones, pants, clogs, video games, binoculars, toys and party supplies (hats, blowers, balloons, napkins, gift bags, table covers, paper garlands) believed to infringe General Motors, Slim ‘N Lift, Lego, Canon, Spiderman, Disney, Dora the Explorer, Angry Birds, Crocs and Range Rover trademarks, among others.

The seizures were made at the port of Constanta, south Romania. The goods originated in China and were intended for the Romanian market.
