Bulgarian Customs Seize Counterfeit Shoes, Bags
Bulgaria’s National Customs Agency has recently reported the seizure of 2,550 pairs of slippers and shoes and 5,709 bags and suitcases bearing well-known brand names believed to be counterfeit.
The detained goods included 1,580 pairs of slippers bearing the mark of Ferrari; 970 pairs of shoes bearing the marks of Chanel and Louis Vuitton; and 5079 bags, suitcases, purses and backpacks bearing the marks of Fendi, Moschino, Victoria Beckham, Furla, Fendi, Coco Chanel, Versace, Ted Baker, Mulberry, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Disney.
The seizures were made at the Lesovo border crossing point, southeastern Bulgaria, and in Varna, eastern Bulgaria.
The goods originated in Turkey and China and were intended for the Bulgarian and Ukrainian markets.
