Jul 3 2019 - 16:11

On May 31, 2019, Ukrainian State Border Guard Service and police officials raided 11 places in the capital of Kyiv and seized counterfeit medicines estimated to be worth tens of thousands of euros. Three people were taken into custody, while the investigation is still ongoing.

During an investigation conducted prior to the raid, the officials established that a group of Ukrainian citizens imported counterfeit medicines infringing the trademarks of well-known manufacturers, manufactured the same counterfeit medicines in Ukraine, and sold them both in the country and abroad.
