Serbian Customs Seize Fake Apparel, Footwear

On November 7, 2018, while inspecting a warehouse in the capital of Belgrade, Serbian customs officials seized numerous sweaters, shirts, T-shirts, jeans and shoes believed to infringe the U.S. Polo Assn.® trademark. The goods originated in Turkey.

Three days earlier, on November 4, 2018, while inspecting a bus on the State Road 22, customs officials seized nearly 4,000 pairs of socks, 1,300 tracksuits, almost 700 pairs of jeans, over 600 T-shirts, and around 500 sweatshirts believed to infringe various well-known trademarks, including Adidas® and Nike®. The bus, which had no passengers, was stopped near the town of Lipovica, close to the capital of Belgrade.
