Polish Court Decides to Extradite KickassTorrents Owner to US

Apr 3 2017 - 15:37

A Polish court recently decided to extradite Artem Vaulin, Ukrainian citizen and owner of KickassTorrents, to the US.

KickassTorrents was one of the world’s largest torrent websites that distributed millions of pirated video and audio files, computer games and other materials.

Vaulin was arrested in Poland in 2016. The US government insisted on his extradition since his arrest as it accuses him of copyright infringement worth over USD 1 billion (EUR 927 million), and since one of the servers Vaulin used was located in Chicago.
