Romanian Customs Seize EUR 200,000 Worth of Counterfeits

On August 20-21, 2014, the Romanian customs officials seized various goods believed to be counterfeit, the total value of which is almost EUR 200,000 (USD 258,000).

The seized goods include over 20,000 school bags and over 30,000 toys bearing the Disney, Transformers, Barbie, Angry Birds and Sponge Bob trademarks.

The seizures were made at the port of Constanta, eastern Romania. The goods originated in China and were intended for the Romanian market.
