Russian Patent Legal Status Data Available in INPADOC Database

Oct 21 2009 - 13:52

Legal status data for Russian patents and utility models is now available in the International Patent Documentation Center’s (INPADOC) legal status database.

It is also available on Esp@cenet, which is a free online service for searching patents and patent applications.

The legal status is available for all patents and utility models from the Former Soviet Union that were valid in Russia on April 10, 2009.

The European Patent Office (EPO) is in negotiations with the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks (Rospatent) about the possibility of acquiring additional archived data.

Starting from October 26, 2009, Polish legal status data will also be included in the INPADOC database. Only the data from 2007 onwards will be available.

INPADOC database, which is publicly accessible, is produced and maintained by the EPO and is updated weekly.
