Ukrainian Customs Seize EUR 124,000 Worth of Fake Textile Products

Ukrainian officials at a customs clearance point in western Ukraine recently seized 570 sets of terry towels and 52 sets of embroidered tablecloths and napkins that infringe the Versace® trademark.
The goods, which were discovered in a truck arriving from Turkey, are estimated to be worth nearly EUR 124,000 (USD 133,000).
Article 476 of the Customs Code of Ukraine envisages a penalty for the infringers consisting of the seizure of goods and a fine of up to EUR 600 (USD 644).
