Ukrainian Police Seize Counterfeit Dolce & Gabbana, Baldinini Footwear
The Ukrainian police authorities have recently seized more than 300,000 pairs of counterfeit footwear bearing the marks of Dolce & Gabbana and Baldinini, worth over EUR 5.5 million (USD 7 million), during the raid of several offices and warehouses in the city of Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine.
The investigation is still underway, but the police authorities have established that the fake footwear was manufactured in China, Turkey, and the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv, Zhytomyr and Lviv, and that a Ukrainian criminal group sold the fake footwear through the Internet, shopping malls and at one of the city markets.
