With more than 15 years of experience in the IP field, Branislav’s practice focuses on complex and contentious trademark matters such as investigating and identifying infringements and infringers, preparing cease-and-desist letters or other pre-litigation notices, negotiating settlement agreements and litigating disputes. He represents clients before the courts, the intellectual property office and customs, police and market inspection authorities in Serbia. Branislav counsels clients on clearance, maintenance and enforcement of trademarks and designs and implements enforcement programs tailored to clients’ needs.
Branislav has represented clients from a variety of industries during his career, including pharmaceutical, tobacco and luxury goods industries. He has recently successfully represented a well-known Swiss fashion label before the Serbian Supreme Court of Cassation in a landmark parallel import case, as well as Serbian footwear retailer Obuća Metro in an interesting copyright case. He has also represented several multinational automobile manufacturers in various trademark and industrial design infringement cases. Most notably, Branislav recently represented Renault before the Commercial Court in Belgrade in a landmark design infringement case.
