Balázs handles various contentious and non-contentious IP matters with an emphasis on prosecution and enforcement of trademarks before the Hungarian IPO and Hungarian courts. He is also well versed in domain dispute litigation and other Internet-related intellectual property issues. He also works with the Hungarian customs authorities on the surveillance, seizure and destruction of counterfeit goods.
Balázs represents clients from a variety of industries. He recently advised well-known electronics, telecommunications and lead glass companies in cases of online and offline design and trademark infringement, while he also represented a leading direct selling beauty company in domain name infringement cases.
Prior to joining PETOŠEVIĆ in 2017, Balázs worked at another Hungarian IP firm for 8 years handling all types of IP matters, primarily enforcement of trademarks, design and copyright. He also has substantial experience in the fields of corporate, real estate, communications and media law.
